About Us

The Broken Of Britain is a truly independent voice for the disabled people of Britain. It is run for disabled people, by disabled people. The aims of the organization will be to provide a representative voice for disabled people in the face of welfare reform, and negative coverage of the disabled as ‘scroungers’ in what seem to be a campaign against us. This could be done by putting together a band of talking-heads and writers who will go out and speak for disabled people through newspaper interviews and comment pieces, TV and radio interviews, and bloggers of whom a few exist already. It’s time that we make ourselves heard!

The Broken Of Britain

To the disabled people of Great Britain. Our individual voices are too quiet to be heard, but collectively we can shout loud enough to drown out this tide of abuse against us. Disability Hate Crime, lack of full legal protection, people in care homes costing too much to be let out and not one political party willing to fight for us. We must emulate other successful civil rights movements and with polite determination take our place as equal members of society.
